If Trump Were A Russian Agent…
If Vladimir Putin had carefully groomed and trained a man to become President of the United States for the purpose of destroying the nation’s soul, turning the country into warring factions that hate and distrust one another at the most fundamental level, and planting a fulltime apologist for Putin himself right in the White House — one willing to stand in open and angry defiance of his own nation’s interests and intelligence agencies whenever Putin needed cover…well, you finish the sentence.
After Secretary of State Mike “Bootlicker” Pompeo dared to admit to the media, regarding the recent largescale cyber-attack on the U.S. government and major industry, that “we can say pretty clearly that it was the Russians,” Trump responded to Pompeo — his own secretary of state (who used to be head of the CIA) — on Twitter with this:
….discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!). There could also have been a hit on our ridiculous voting machines during the election, which is now obvious that I won big, making it an even more corrupted embarrassment for the USA. @DNI_Ratcliffe @SecPompeo

Yes, I suppose it may be China — although I suspect that bet would have slightly longer odds than a bet on Trump turning out to be an actual Russian asset, rather than just a Putin-worshipping ass. After all, I am aware of no public claims or evidence, even circumstantial, that China was actually behind this cyber-attack, whereas I have been watching Trump plump for and concede to Putin at every opportunity for four years.
I teach the English language to Korean university students. Fairly often, I am asked to explain an English idiom, as idioms are notoriously impossible to understand without their societal and usage context. The next time someone asks me to explain “the pot calling the kettle black,” I will reply with this example: “Imagine Donald Trump calling anything else a ‘corrupted embarrassment for the USA.'”
