No shock, but just for the record…

CBS, which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Trump, Inc., has obtained by way of a phone call with “senior U.S. officials,” a full rundown of the fourteen-point “memorandum of understanding” between the United States and Iran, which lays the groundwork for final treaty negotiations to end the dumbest own-goal defeat in American military history. In sum, these fourteen points summarize the surrender of the United States to the will of the Iranian theocracy, on the condition of Trump and his personal associates being given first dibs on any financial profits to be pocketed from the massive “reconstruction” of Iran after the totally unnecessary destruction caused by Trump and his erstwhile flatterer Benjamin Netanyahu, whose country the Trump administration could be accused of throwing under the bus in this MOU, if not for the fact that there is no room for another country under that bus alongside the gigantic two-hundred-and-fifty-year-old beached whale formerly known as the leader of the free world.

I concluded my previous post about this catastrophe with the following observation and prediction:

From “Iranian patriots, KEEP PROTESTING…HELP IS ON ITS WAY,” to “I never cared about regime change,” in six months. And now we will have the details of his great surrender “deal,” in which no one but Trump, the mullahs, and predictably Trump’s family and business associates, will stand to gain anything at all. Ecce homo.

According to the fourteen points in the MOU, each of my none-too-difficult predictions about the results of this deal has been confirmed.

Trump as president will get an escape from his humiliating quagmire of choice and some much-needed distance from Israel to appease a large portion of his base, along with laying the groundwork — a trial run if you will — for the “memorandum” that he, working in cahoots with his personal owner Vladimir Putin, will no doubt try to foist on Ukraine, in an effort to hand Russia an unearned victory over a stronger opponent almost as great as the one he is now handing to Iran. (See items 1, 2, 7, and 11 in this memorandum for previews of what that U.S.-Russia MOU will look like.)

The mullahs in Iran gain a promise to “respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refrain from interfering in each other’s internal affairs” [emphasis added]. (See item 2.) In other words, the desperate cries of the Iranian people must never be heard and acknowledged again by a United States president. The mullahs also gain an open U.S. acceptance that Iran now has sovereign power over the Strait of Hormuz, which had hitherto been considered international waters. (See items 4 and 5.) They also gain the right to demand the removal of all U.S. forces from “the proximity of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” i.e., the authority to dictate where and how the U.S. may deploy its military in the region. (See item 4.) They gain the removal of all previously established sanctions on their economy, on the condition of merely saying they will not develop nuclear weapons — which in fact they have repeatedly claimed they would not do. (See items 7 and 8.) They will regain access to all the Iranian assets previously frozen by U.S. and international governments, without having to change any of the fundamental conditions upon which those assets were initially frozen. (See item 11.)

As for “Trump’s family and business associates,” take a moment to ponder the implications of item 6:

The United States of America undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive mutually agreed plan with at least $300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mechanism for the implementation of this plan will be finalized as part of the final deal within 60 days. All required licenses, waivers and permissions needed for the relevant financial transactions will be granted by the United States of America. [Emphases added.]

A note to all Americans: This is the kind of corruption, surrender, and national evaporation that you voted for, America. And just to make things clear, you voted for this partly because you have become a nation of personality cultists, partly because you have succumbed to the self-loathing of tribal irrationalism, and partly — this can never be ignored — because you offered yourselves no plausible alternative to Trump’s graft and id-gratification machine but progressive socialist activism of the most destructively absurd sort.
